Ice cake and let icing crust slightly. Before starting, refer to directions on stencil package and spray stencil with non-stick cooking spray.
Position stencil on cake. Using a fine mesh strainer, sprinkle crushed Cake Sparkles carefully over stencil openings until filled in. Use the end of a wooden spoon to evenly push Cake Sparkles through strainer.
Remove stencil, placing spatula under one side and lifting off.
