Pull-out star

The star tip creates the most celebrated, easily accomplished decorations! The pull-out star technique can be used for fun, furry creatures, or for textured hair for your cakes.

Steps:

Step 1: Prepare Icing & Fill Bag

Fit the decorating bag with tip 18 and fill 1/2 full with medium consistency icing. Hold the decorating bag 90° straight up; the tip should be 1/8 in. above surface as shown.

Step 2: Squeeze

Squeeze bag to form star.

Step 3: Pull Up & Stop Pressure

Pull tip straight up and gradually decrease pressure as you pull away.

Stop pressure and pull away.
