Icing the cake with a spatula


Step 1: Large Amount in Center

With a large angled spatula, place a large amount of thin consistency icing on the center of the cake top.

Step 2: Spread Across Top

Spread across the top, pushing excess icing down over edges on the sides of your cake.

Step 3: Cover Sides

Cover sides of the cake with the excess icing, using more if needed.
