Preheat oven to 350°F.
In large bowl, cream butter and sugars with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Cool on pan on wire rack 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet and cool completely.
Makes approximately 4 dozen 3-inch cookies.
