Bake and cool cupcakes in baking cups. Or, purchase non-decorated cupcakes from the supermarket or local bakery.
Spatula ice cupcakes with red or orange icing. Make a line across center of cupcake with edge of spatula. For head, add black large, flat dot with tip 3. Add eyes, nose and mouth using tip 3. Add randomly spaced tip 3 dots in black on wings.
Spatula ice cupcakes with white. Make round fish body using tip 18, starting in center and continuing in a spiral to about 1/4 inch from edge of cupcake. Add tip 3 bead mouth, fins, and tail.
Spatula ice cupcakes in white. Make loop petals with tip 18 in rose or violet. Add flower center with a tip 3 large dot in yellow (flatten and smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
