One color can create a powerful look when you bring different textures together. The royal icing flowers, buttercream dots and a ready-made top bow of tinted paper clay provides a memorable cake for your guests.

Add ivory icing color to a bowl of water. Dip bow in tinted water until desired color is reached. Let dry on paper towel.
Make assorted sizes drop flowers with ivory royal icing, using tips 2D, 131 and 225 on waxed paper covered cake board. (A total of 128 flowers were used for photographed cake. Make extra in case of breakage.) Add tip 3 ivory dot centers. Let dry.
Bake your favorite 2-layer cake recipe or mix in square pan. Cool cake in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. Place on foil-wrapped cake board. Spatula ice cake smooth with ivory buttercream; add tip 12 bead bottom border.
Position various drop flowers on bottom beads. Add tip 67 or 352 icing leaves. Add tip 3 dots randomly on cake top and sides. Position bow on cake top.
