Bake and cool a 2-layer oval-shaped cake. Stack cooled cake layers on a foil-wrapped cake board cut to size, using buttercream icing as a filling. Prepare cake for fondant by lightly icing with buttercream.
Rollout yellow fondant 1/8-inch thick; cover cake. Smooth. Dust pearls section of Baroque Gum Paste & Fondant mold with cornstarch; press yellow fondant into mold. Carefully remove from mold. Attach pearls to bottom border using damp brush.
Dust Fabric Designs Gum Paste & Fondant Mold with cornstarch. Press desired fondant colors into prepared mold. Carefully remove from molds and attach to cake with damp brush. Brush Pearl Dust over fondant decorations. For more intense pearlizing, mix Pearl Dust with clear vanilla extract before brushing on fondant.
