A Crown of Honor

Everyone deserves a crown! Best of all, you can eat this one.

Step 1

Step 1: Make Candy Clay In Advance

In large microwavable bowl, melt each package of Candy Melts separately. Microwave at 40% power or defrost setting for 1 minute. Stir thoroughly. Continue to microwave and stir at 30-second intervals until smooth and completely melted. Stir in 1/3 cup corn syrup; mix thoroughly. Turn out mixture onto waxed paper; let set at room temperature to dry. Wrap well with plastic wrap; store at room temperature until needed, at least 24 hours. Repeat for all colors of Candy Melts. (May be kept up to 3 weeks.)

Step 2: Create Crown

Candy clay will be very hard at the start; knead a small portion at a time until workable. Sprinkle work surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking; roll white candy to approximately 1/8 in. thick. Cut out crown shape with knife. Gently wrap around, sealing ends together by warming with your hands or using melted candy.

Step 3

Step 3: Decorate

Roll small portions of colored Candy Clay 1/8 in. thick. Cut a variety of "jewel" shapes in different colors using Cut-Outs. Attach to crown with melted candy.
