Do icing colors go bad or spoil with age?

Icing colors are at their best for about 3 years. The colors will keep better if the jars are stored in a cool, dry place, free from sunlight exposure. If you find your icing color seems dried out, you can stir in a few drops of Glycerine to restore the consistency.
