Can I use a fluted tube cake pan instead of round 9” cake pans when baking a cake?

It is possible to bake some cake recipes that call for being made in two 9 in. round cake pans in a fluted tube instead, but it depends on the type of cake Each would need 9-10 cups of batter to bake, but light airy cakes might not hold up in the tube pan. You’ll have better success with firmer textured or pound cakes in the tube pan.
