My cake domes in the middle while baking. How can I prevent this?

Jeff - from Medina, OH

The sides of the cake are baking too fast. Use the Bake-even strips to keep the sides cooler and you'll get more even baking. You can also try baking the cake at 25 degrees lower temperature for a longer length of time.
You can expect some doming and this can be rectified by leveling the cake after it has baked and cooled.
