Can buttercream flowers be frozen for later use and will they soften upon thawing?

Yes you can freeze buttercream flowers for later use, up to 1 month in advance, but be sure to do so in airtight containers. Thaw the flowers in the containers so that condensation that develops does so on the container, not the flower decoration.  The flowers should remain the consistency they were before you froze them.
