What kind of chalk do you talk about when coloring flowers? Are they easy to get? Is it the same as that one used on chalkboards or is it like powdered color?

I do not recommend using chalk in cake decorating because it is not a food safe material. I love using Pearl Dust and Color Dust to brush and paint my flowers. These are edible, food safe powders that come in a rainbow of colors. Pearl Dust has a lusterous finish and Color Dust is matte. Both are available in major craft retailers in the baking aisles, and also online here:
