I was looking into making the caterpillar cupcakes, but wasn’t sure how to get the different color icings. Can I make the colors, or do I have to buy cupcakes in different colors?

You can make the colors of icing you see using gel icing colors, which are more concentrated than the liquid icing colors found at the grocery store. The instructions for the caterpillar will tell you which colors to buy. Simply take a small amount of icing from the jar using a toothpick, and stir into white icing.
