I am from Narajito, Puerto Rico. I have two questions. Can I use instant cake mix for a 3 dimensional giant cupcake? Do I need more than one box of instant cake mix?

Yes, cake mixes will work just as well as making one from scratch if you make them following instructions on the package for a pound cake. If you make it following the standard layer cake instructions, the cake will not stand up. If you are using the Wilton Giant Cupcake Pan you will probably need more than one cake mix. For example, one box of Duncan Hines cake mix makes about 5-1/2 cups batter, but the Giant Cupcake Pan needs about 6 cups batter to bake up properly.
