I saw a rose that had color only on top and when the man was piping the rose, the bag had 1/2 of one color and the other 1/2 was white. How do you do that?

The easiest way to achieve this look is to do Bag Striping. We have complete instructions for this in the Techniques/Icing Basics section of our website. You’ll see, it is simply painting color stripes on the inside of an decorating bag. But the results are striking - the piped icing is released with the stripes! You can also place two different color icings into your bag. This method is much less controllable, but can make good use of small amounts of icing without waste.
