Yes, most undecorated cupcakes and cakes freeze perfectly without decorations for up to 3 months.  You’ll want to make sure they are wrapped air-tight with freezer wrap or aluminum foil (or a combination!).  Before you decorate your treats, bring them to room temperature, in the wrapper so that any condensation forms on the wrapper, not the cupcake or cake and ice as you like!
