I am making a cake for my grandson's Boy Scout blue and gold dinner. I am making a buttercream transfer which consists of blue and gold. I cant get the gold color I want. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

For a richer, more golden tone in buttercream, try adding just a hint of orange to your yellow icing. If you want a metallic finish, brush a little gold pearl dust over the gold buttercream after it has crusted over. Or spray the cake with gold color mist before applying your buttercream transfer for a really gilded look!
