Will adding powdered almonds to whipped icing deflate it?

A whipped cream icing would deflate and get watery if you added too many powdered almonds. A stabilized whipped icing like Wilton's Vanilla Whipped Icing Mix would be great for adding powdered almonds because it is strong enough to hold the extra weight. You don't have to worry about it melting either, and it tastes great.
