Each week includes a feature theme and specialty cakes for that occasion plus adaptations for other events. We also have a second related project with other ideas for that celebration. And last we feature a third project with related ideas for that special party.
Each week also features 2 tips. The first is Decorating Basics — easy first steps for successful baking. The second tip — is actually a "decorating" tip! We feature a different cake decorating tip each week and easy instructions on how to achieve beautiful designs with just that tip.
Make every day a party with Bake Decorate Celebrate!
Nancy Siler has been baking and decorating for over 25 years. In her hundreds of decorating demonstrations for programs on ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN, PBS, Discovery Channel and QVC Networks, Nancy has shown that everyone has the ability to serve something spectacular. As Vice President of Consumer Affairs and Public Relations for Wilton Industries, Inc., she helps make decorating easy and exciting for consumers. As Director of The Wilton School, Nancy continues to develop the world's most popular decorating courses.
Melanie Glasscock brings a homemaker's point of view to the BAKE DECORATE CELEBRATE! series. Melanie has been a popular broadcast journalist who anchored and reported for the local CBS and NBC stations between 1990-2000. Since leaving the anchor chair to devote time to her family and community, Melanie has worked with a variety of charitable and educational projects including Kentucky Educational Television and the Kentucky Junior Miss program.
Beth Madland started decorating cakes when she received a Wilton starter kit in junior high. While not a master decorator, Beth can hold her own with a star tip. She even “mastered” the rose while working at a bakery decorating cakes part-time.
Beth spent eight years in television news as a reporter, videographer, producer and eventually hosted the number one morning news show in Lexington, Kentucky. But it was co-hosting a show called “Let’s Do Lunch” that led to a long friendship with her co-host Melanie Glasscock. Beth is thrilled to help out her friend on “Bake Decorate Celebrate” while Melanie takes some time off to be with her family.
Having more fun demonstrating crafts and cooking on TV during that afternoon show than covering the latest hard news story, Beth searched for work in the craft entertainment business and left news behind.
Beth lives in North Dakota with her husband and two children, Coleman and Ella.
